pipes at the flange, like what is seen on the greddy or Greg's manifolds. I am assuming that they typically fail right there where the pipe joins to the flange. I'm really considering having them cryotreated if this is possible with 321SS - I'm not really sure if you can do that with this metal as it tends to harden through heat cycles. But you did hit the nail on the head, "If manifolds were easy to produce, they would be selling on ebay like NA headers." They are a far stretch from being easy to make - I need to order more pipe at this point due to some screwups, but it is still well within budget. So far, I am in $285 in materials...
